Hurricane Joaquin Shifts East

Latest track of Hurricane Joaquin
Latest track of Hurricane Joaquin is shifting East

You should still be more concerned with the Nor’easter presently but,  the cone of uncertainty has certainly shifted to the East for Hurricane Joaquin.  Then again it could just randomly shift, we have seen that before.  Still late in the game to predict the actual path.   We are having rain run off issues low roads are flooding in Bethany, Ocean city and some Delaware bay beach access roads. The waves at the inlet are around 10 or 12 feet tall. I’m heading out in a bit to check a few places, properties, and houses for friends.  Aside from tidal flooding in the usual areas the rain is the biggest issue, ponding due to the saturated ground.  The drainage ditches are full, overflowing onto roads, and fields are flooding.  Be on the look out for roads with water moving across them from fields over flowing.  Especially at night it is hard to see an inch of water flowing across a wet road in the rain, been there done that, felt like I hit a tree.  Another day of wind and rain.  If you haven’t yet look at the forage fish article and send in your comments.
